This is the proposed second game in the Rifle & Spade series, following on from "Gallipoli 1915: Churchill's Greatest Gamble."  Scot & I already did a "smoke test" of Mons – we played it and it worked reasonably well even on the first try. Now I need to check the balance and test out some game specific rules – bicycle units, cavalry charges, and the command ratings of the German army (average) and the British (truly awful).

Suits two players, possibly three. I will either play or be on hand to answer questions and make up new rules on the spot. This will probably be a one-night event, because I expect that I will need/want to make changes before the next playtest
