A place to explore games in depth...
The second day was Lee's last possible chance for victory at Gettysburg. Without Thomaas Jackson, Robert E. Lee would turn to his remaining most trusted corps commander, James Longstreet, who had a bold plan: sweep around to the left flank of the now strong Union position on Cemetery Ridge, capture the high ground behind it and turn the entire Union position from its communications to Washington and possibly the rest of the Eastern seaboard. However the march would be long, the day would be hot, and an even surprised Union army would have positions that it could defend.
Longstreet Attacks: The Second Day at Gettysburg is Revolution Games' recent title covering this brutal day in American history. Covering the southern section of the Battle of Gettysburg it includes such features as the Devil's Den and Little Round Top. The game system has been well-received. Contact Geoff Phipps for details.
